My second favorite Simpsons episode of all time has to be the 22 Short Films about Springfield episode. This episode was one of the last episodes in the seventh season.
There really isn't a certain plot for this episode but rather pays attention to individual stories about the people that live in Springfield. There's a short story for Principal Skinner, Lisa Simpson, Homer Simpson, Moe, and a lot more.

This episode was extremly creative and offered an episode that no other show could top. It was such a great episode that there were even memes created that went viral for a coulple of weeks or so.
Similarly to my favorite episode, I really liked how creative this episode was. It opened the door to what the Simpsons could actually do. An example of this creativity was when a select few characters got their own opening scene. The creators of the Simpsons doesn't do more than the first opening scene.
I feel that I could rewatch this episode a lot because of how interactive the story was, how everything blended together beautifully, and just how much was going on yet how easy it was to follow along. This episode was just so well done yet I feel that this episode is underrated.
The Script writing in this episode was spot on how everything tied in together wonderfully and how diverse each short story was from Lisa getting gum getting stuck in her hair to Skinner Serving "Steamed Hams" to "Supernintendo Chalmers". Every aspect of this episode is scrippted so beautifully that I thought that the Simpsons was ahead of its time.
After watching and rewatching this episode, I can conclude that I want to give this episode a rating of 9.25/10. I really reccomend that you watch this episode because it's so captivating and very diverse from the other Simpsons episodes that were produced. Overall, I enjoyed this episode a lot.
